Meet the people building GroundSource, one conversation at a time.

Andrew Haeg

Flag Bearer

Andrew is an internationally-known pioneer in crowdsourcing and journalism innovation. In 2003 he co-founded the Public Insight Network at American Public Media, a platform connecting enterprising journalists with knowledgeable sources in the community. Prior to that, his career has included work as a public radio reporter and a correspondent for The Economist.

He’s a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and St. John’s University in Minnesota, was a 2008-2009 John S. Knight Professional Journalism Fellow at Stanford University and was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Mercer University's Center for Collaborative Journalism.

Adam Lutz

Chief Architect

Adam has the perfect mix of deep technical experience with both public media and numerous startups. He has architected and developed a variety of scalable custom software solutions for clients and advised numerous start-ups on technology architecture, design decisions, and business strategy.

He’s led technical architecture and development for several incubated web applications and APIs and while in public media designed, developed, and maintained a wide-variety of small to large business critical software systems including media players, interactive educational games, content distribution systems, APIs, CRM tools, mobile applications + many others.

When he’s not creating simple solutions to complex problems, he can be found playing games, eating sushi, on a two-wheeled vehicle of some sort, or lost-on-purpose in the BWCA.
